How it works
Two intakes a year, aligned to university semesters, each running about six months.
STEP 1
You're assigned an issue
A specific policy issue to research within your own local community — sometimes sourced from an industry that wants that insight.
STEP 2
You write, roughly bi-monthly
One article every two months for the length of the program, published on The Generation Brief.
STEP 3
You get access
Industry leaders, politicians, and regional contacts most students never get in front of.
STEP 4
You stay in the community
Alumni remain part of an ongoing, tiered network — this isn't a one-off program.
The culmination
The Generation Summit
A two-to-three day gathering for the program's participants and alumni — potentially at Parliament during a sitting week, once funding is secured. The long-term vision: a talent pipeline connecting young leaders with the political parties and industries looking for their exact profile.
